From dimming to brightening during 1961 to 2014 in the maize growing season of China

Climate patterns, cropping systems, and agricultural technologies have greater diversity among various regions in China. Knowledge of the spatial–temporal patterns solar radiation during maize growing season is essential for farmers extension technicians their optimization choices development adaptation strategies climate change. In this study, based on observed six subregions China, we analyzed spatial distributions temporal trends incident (SRi), beam (SRb), diffuse (SRd) 1961–2014. From 1961 to 1984, annual SRi most areas showed a downward trend, with median value −27.8 MJ m−2 year−1, which primarily due decrease SRb. However, after 1985, 76% locations had reversed brightening. This finding an increase SRd. The whole (WGS) changed by −12.4% 18.3% past 30 years, 74% selected increasing trend. At stations, SRb decreasing trend WGS, SRd SRi, SRb, vegetative period reproductive generally followed similar WGSs. Therefore, conclude that from dimming brightening 2014 Solar occurred season, was mainly caused radiation.
